KARINA PLOTEK
night + sleep coaching + breastfeeding
"My hope is to ensure that your recovery from birth is as relaxed as possible and breastfeeding goals are met, so you and your family may best enjoy the wonderful and rewarding process of bonding with your newborn(s).
I absolutely love supporting families on their parenting journey because it gives me a feeling of accomplishment and joy."
-KARINA
Karina grew up in southern Poland. When she was about 7 years old, her aunt let her watch her 3-month-old baby and she absolutely loved it. This and other formative experiences led her later in life to become a Pediatric Nurse (RN) in Poland.
In 2005, Karina was invited to join a relief mission in Haiti where she volunteered for 13 months at Mother and Babies Center of Hope and Clinik Pep Bondye in Jeremie, Haiti. She functioned as an RN at both clinics.
Her education and work experiences trained her very well for the role of Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist, New Parent Educator, Certificated Pediatric Sleep Consultant at Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting & Certificated Lactation Educator Counselor at UC San Diego.
Karina has over 25 years of experience working with newborns and has extensive experience with twins, triplets, and premature babies. Her ideal postpartum job is one in which the baby and the parents benefit greatly from her expertise.
In her free time, Karina enjoys hiking, traveling, attending classical music concerts, and cooking.
She is fluent in English, Polish, some Czech and Haitian Creole.

"Karina is such a sweet, caring & extremely trustworthy person and we learned lots from her. She's very experienced and knowledgeable in her field with a strong nursing background as well. Also, Karina was helpful in helping us with sleep training. We had virtual coaching sessions and she helped us learn how to properly train the girls to sleep overnight." -Roshi ( Moutain View)
