- CLARA
Hi! I'm Clara, a certified postpartum and birth doula and pre/post natal yoga instructor.
I've been fascinated by pregnancy, birth, and motherhood since I was a very young child. I’ve always known that I wanted to work in the birth world; a feeling that was amplified after witnessing my very first live (non-human) birth while working on a goat farm (agriculture and permaculture are two of my other passions).
As a birth and postpartum doula, I am deeply committed to fostering an environment where expectant and new parents feel supported, empowered, and nurtured on all levels – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I invite mamas and families to experience greater ease, and help them to soften into their unique birthing and postpartum experiences. I hope that my care feels like a satisfying deep breathe. In my work I meet clients exactly where they are, to honor the birthing and mothering portal. I love nothing more than watching new and expanding mamas step into their power, connect with their intuition, and learn to deeply trust themselves. My work is informed by Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, folk wisdom, and yoga.
Outside of doula-land you will find me rock climbing in beautiful places, whispering to plants, milking goats, and knitting sweaters.
"Clara’s postpartum care was a true blessing for me and our family. From the very start, her warmth and compassion made me feel incredibly supported during such a vulnerable time. She helped me through intense emotional shifts after birth and was always just a text away whenever I needed guidance. Her bodywork was a crucial part of my healing process, and I eagerly anticipated the abhyanga massage each week. She also provided soothing herbal baths and foot soaks, and her cooking of nourishing Ayurvedic meals kept us well-fed throughout the week. Clara’s gentle care with the baby was wonderful, and I feel deeply fortunate to have had her support during the sacred six weeks of postpartum. I truly can’t imagine navigating this period without her. "- Allie
"Clara made all the difference as our doula in welcoming our second child via a successful VBAC. She took the time to understand our birthing concerns and expections during our prenatal visits and provided many resources to help us prepare for the arrival of our baby girl. Clara helped create a safe and peaceful environment in the hospital setting that allowed me to have the positive, empowering, and intentional birth I dreamed of. She was a kind yet assertive voice in the delivery room who advocated for our birth preferences and we are so grateful for the time spent with Clara." - Marlise
